We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Business Studies with the drive, imagination and energy to deliver excellence in the IT & Business department to join our dedicated team at Outwood Academy Adwick. You will ensure effective teaching and learning is in place to ensure outstanding outcomes for students. The Role
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5, inspiring students to develop a love for technology and problem-solving.
- Contribute to a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department and Senior Leadership Team, to drive achievement and raise standards in the department.
- Support initiatives to increase the uptake of Business at KS4 and KS5.
This role is ideal for someone with strong subject knowledge, a passion for Business, and the desire to make a real impact on students’ lives. Essential qualifications include a degree in an appropriate discipline related to the relevant subject and a teaching qualification coupled with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Required experience includes recent and relevant teaching experience (either in employment or training) and experience of assessment at Key Stage 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be confident in using standard computer packages (word processing, email, and spreadsheets) and understand how these tools can enhance student learning. The role demands high levels of professionalism, including the ability to relate to students in a pleasant and sympathetic manner, and a capacity to recognise potential child safeguarding issues.
