Responsibilities
- The Site Supervisor ensures the buildings and site are secure, tidy, and well maintained, performing daily duties in line with health and safety requirements.
- Key responsibilities involve opening and closing the premises, managing lettings, and checking for damage or security issues every morning upon arrival.
- The role covers a wide range of general upkeep, including internal cleaning (such as glass and communal areas), general porterage, moving furniture, and grounds maintenance like sweeping yards and keeping hard surfaces free of moss and hazards.
- The supervisor undertakes minor repairs to fixtures and fittings, reports major defects to the Facilities Manager, and manages routine heating and lighting duties, including replacing fluorescent tubes up to eleven feet.
Qualifications
- Applicants must demonstrate essential experience of general building and site maintenance and possess the ability to undertake basic repairs.
- Candidates should exhibit good time management and organisation skills, alongside the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences.
- The role requires an understanding of academy child safeguarding procedures and the ability to relate to students in a pleasant manner.
- Although not essential, experience of working in a school environment is desirable.
