Contract: Fixed Term 6 months - This role is to cover absences within the team and to support key priorities.

Location: Tottenham Hale, London, N17. The role is predominantly office based; some hybrid working may be considered.

About The Role: We are looking for a multi-skilled Technology, Workplace, and Business Support Officer to ensure our facilities, health and safety, and Technology systems function seamlessly across offices and service locations. This role combines two key areas:

  • Facilities and Business Support Management: Overseeing office operations, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards, and managing facilities effectively.
  • IT Support: Providing first-line technical support, troubleshooting basic IT issues, and maintaining digital tools and asset registers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support technology equipment (e.g., laptops, mobile phones) for staff, ensuring systems are connected and operational, and assisting with initial setup and resolving basic issues.
  • Manage organisational enquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely responses.
  • Oversee the collection, management, and secure disposal of confidential waste, ensuring records are maintained properly.
  • Maintain and update IT asset registers and assist in managing phone and mobile contracts.
  • Conduct regular Health and Safety audits and ensure emergency procedures are implemented.
  • Oversee vehicle fleet management, ensuring compliance with insurance and maintenance requirements.
  • Act as the main liaison for building and parking arrangements, ensuring SLAs are met.
  • Support office supply distribution and assist in improving internal communication systems.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of facilities management within an office environment.
  • Experience in uncomplicated IT support, including issuing equipment and assisting with setting up.
  • Familiarity with managing and updating digital systems logs, such as asset registers or shared networks.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and assisting in troubleshooting common IT issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Willingness to travel between sites and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and data protection principles.
  • Staff must have access to a smartphone capable of receiving SMS messages and installing authentication apps for secure systems access.
  • Right to Work in the UK. Please note: Outward will not provide visa sponsorship.

Desirable:

  • IT or digital support-related qualification.
  • Experience in facilities management or overseeing contracts and supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety compliance and risk management.
