Description
We’re looking for a Head of Engineering who can own delivery, quality, and engineering operations as we scale our engineering team from 20 and beyond.
You’ll work closely with the CTO to translate our technical vision into predictable, high-quality execution across multiple teams. This role is a strategic partner to the CTO — shaping how engineering scales, operates, and delivers — while the CTO continues to own the overall technology and product strategy.
You’ll lead our engineering managers and ensure that Oneiro’s engineering culture remains high-performing, transparent, and accountable as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Own turning strategy into engineering execution, shaping how engineering scales, operates, and delivers
- Lead and mentor our Engineering Managers overseeing multiple delivery teams.
- Establish and continuously improve engineering-wide processes for hiring, planning, execution, release, and incident management.
- Lead QA and Release Management to ensure consistent delivery cadence and product quality.
- Drive metrics-driven execution (velocity, deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR).
- Strengthen our CI / CD, observability, and reliability practices.
- Own operational excellence : uptime, incident response, release governance, and engineering health.
- Partner with the CTO to align technology initiatives with business goals.
- Champion engineering culture, continuous improvement, and scalable delivery practices.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 15+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years leading managers
- Experience scaling delivery operations in a SaaS environment — ideally B2B or fintech – from 20 Engineers to 50+.
- Strong grasp of DevOps, release processes, and agile / lean delivery.
- Proven track record building engineering discipline (metrics, retros, quality gates).
- Ability to build strong repeatable systems rather than relying on heroics
- Empathy, communication, and ability to inspire teams.
- Experience with enterprise customers or regulated environments (banks, fintech, healthcare) is a plus.
