The Role
You will be working in the workshop, servicing, diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment. That includes strip-down, rebuild, fault-finding and getting loan equipment back out the door in good order. The work covers hydraulics, engines and electronics. You will be hands-on from day one.
A second position is also available at a senior level (£40,000 to £45,000), which carries team leader responsibilities. If you have the experience and want a bit more ownership over how things run, that one may suit you better.
What you will be doing:
- Machine check-overs on loan equipment.
- Nut and bolt strip-downs and full refurbishments.
- Fault diagnosis and repair of broken machinery.
- MIG welding as part of the repair process.
- Rewiring and basic electronic assembly work.
What you need to bring:
- Strong mechanical knowledge with relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with plant, machinery or similar mechanical equipment.
- Experience working in a workshop environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
