Position Overview
The Pre-Sales & Delivery Architect plays a critical dual role in the EMEA Professional Services organization. Operating at the exact intersection of sales enablement and high-end project execution, this position splits focus evenly: OutSystems Professional Services Architect and Pre-Sales Support.
You will act as the technical bridge within the team. On the pre-sales side, you will drive architecture blueprinting, technical scoping, and validation to secure new enterprise business. On the delivery side, you will step directly into customer engagements to lead the technical execution of complex, Agentic AI and low-code solutions. This dual perspective ensures that our pre-sales proposals are grounded in real-world delivery feasibility, and our active delivery projects seamlessly execute on early pre-sales visions.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Solution Architecture & Enablement
- Technical Blueprinting & Scoping: Partner closely with Sales and Solution Delivery Managers (SDMs) to translate customer business discovery into accurate, multi-phased Statements of Work (SOWs) and technical roadmaps.
- Proof of Concepts (PoCs) & Validation: Design and execute targeted technical demonstrations, architectural spikes, and interactive PoCs to prove solution feasibility, particularly around Agentic AI integrations and complex platform setups.
- AI-Readiness Assessments: Conduct deep-dive technical audits of client environments to assess integration paths, data readiness, and necessary guardrails for non-deterministic AI workflows.
- Technical Pitching & Advisory: Serve as the trusted technical authority during sales cycles, instilling confidence in client Enterprise Architects, CTOs, and technical decision-makers regarding our architectural patterns and delivery capabilities.
- Professional Services Delivery Architect
- Architectural Ownership: Act as the Lead Architect on billable customer engagements, owning the technical blueprint for enterprise-grade OutSystems applications and multi-agent AI ecosystems.
- Delivery Excellence & Quality: Perform code and architecture reviews, oversee integration quality, and ensure delivery teams adhere to high standards of enterprise performance, security, and scalability.
- Agentic AI Implementation: Direct the practical implementation of LLM orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and "Human-in-the-Loop" (HITL) workflows on live customer projects.
- Standardization & Playbooks: Package learnings, custom connectors, and architectural patterns from active projects into reusable delivery playbooks to continuously elevate delivery speed and quality across EMEA.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Soft Skills & Behaviours
- Dual-Mindset Agility: Ability to seamlessly pivot between rapid, commercially driven pre-sales discussions and deep, disciplined project delivery execution.
- Consultative & Challenger Approach: Comfortable challenging legacy architectural thinking and guiding clients toward scalable, AI-native patterns.
- Commercial Awareness: Mindful of time-to-value (TTFV), project margins, and scope boundaries during both pre-sales scoping and active delivery.
- Technical Influence: Skillful at building trust with both internal delivery teams and executive client stakeholders.
- Technical & Functional Skills
- OutSystems Platform Mastery: Deep, hands-on expertise in the OutSystems low-code platform, including advanced integration patterns, core architecture design, and performance tuning.
- Agentic AI Architecture: Practical knowledge of multi-agent orchestration, strategic prompt engineering, vector databases (RAG), and establishing token cost and data privacy guardrails.
- Estimation & Delivery Methodologies: Strong background in Agile/Scrum delivery, defining MVP boundaries, and creating realistic work-breakdown structures for SOWs.
- Experience & Education
- Experience: 6+ years of combined experience in Enterprise Solution Architecture, Technical Pre-Sales, or Technical Delivery within an IT Professional Services environment.
- Track Record: Proven success in both winning complex software deals through technical leadership and successfully delivering high-value enterprise applications.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Required & Valued Certifications
- Required: OutSystems Architecture / Expert Developer Certification.
- Valued: OutSystems Specialist Agentic AI Certification.
- Plus: TOGAF, Cloud Architect (AWS/Azure), or Agile/Scrum certifications.
