Job Description

Strategic Bids Architect Birmingham – 2-3 days in the office (with some travel across UK) Salary: £80000 – £90000 + up to 10% bonus, company car + benefits  We’re supporting a major UK-headquartered organisation in hiring a Strategic Bids Architect to lead the design of AI-enabled, data-driven, and cloud-native solutions for large-scale, high-value bids across public services and defence. Due to the nature of the role you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)   You’ll act as the technical design authority for strategic pursuits, shaping the digital and AI strategy behind major proposals, influencing early deal shaping, and ensuring solutions are both innovative and commercially viable.This is a senior, highly visible position working closely with CxO-level stakeholders, bid and growth teams, and delivery leaders to develop architectures that balance creativity, compliance, and delivery feasibility.  What you’ll bring:
  • Proven experience designing complex digital transformation or cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Strong background in AI, data, and automation technologies.
  • Track record of leading solution design for major bids, RFPs, or pre-sales engagements.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ITIL) and AI governance.
  • Strong commercial acumen — able to link technology decisions to bid competitiveness and delivery success.
