Overview: We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the development of business architecture within the Submarines business unit at BAE Systems. This role focuses on mapping and connecting core business processes to support the product lifecycle and future operational alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of a visual Tube Map representing interconnected business and product lifecycle processes
- Facilitate process workshops and engage stakeholders to capture and refine end-to-end business activities
- Identify and document process, toolset, data, and capability gaps
- Develop and embed the Tube Map into BAU (Business-as-Usual) operations and supporting documentation
- Support production of Concept of Operations (ConOps), Topic Manuals, and related deliverables
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong background with business process analysis skills
- Demonstrable experience in business architecture and product lifecycle mapping
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience working within submarines or complex defence engineering environments is highly desirable
- Confident in facilitating workshops and driving process improvement initiatives
