About the Role: We are recruiting a Senior Operational Buyer to join a busy and collaborative team. In this role, you will ensure a consistent and sustainable supply of raw materials to support production schedules, while developing operational buying capabilities through supplier management, process improvements, and cross-team collaboration. You will report directly to the Supply Chain Team Leader and play a key part in strengthening the department’s contribution to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement of raw materials to ensure consistent supply aligned with production schedules.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating terms and monitoring performance for quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Collaborate with planning, production, and commercial teams to align purchasing with business goals.
- Support the development and improvement of operational buying processes.
- Mentor and support Buyers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Generate and analyse Supply Chain KPIs to drive continuous improvement in service levels and inventory performance.

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management abilities.
- Analytical thinker with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong influencing, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
