BAE Systems Naval Ships is looking for an experienced Detail Designer with experience in Outfit and Structures Design. You’ll deliver complex detail design solutions, assure quality, and act as a technical role model within the design team.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver and verify high-quality detail design outputs
- Conduct audits, checks, and quality assurance activities
- Coach and mentor designers and early-career colleagues
- Support Team Leads and engage with engineering stakeholders
- Act as technical authority for assigned systems or compartments
- Strong background in detail design or engineering
- Working knowledge of FORAN
- Previous experience working within a Naval Ships environment
- Excellent knowledge of design processes and quality systems
- Confident communicator with mentoring experience
- Apprenticeship or equivalent experience (HNC/ONC desirable)
