Outsource UK is looking to recruit a Resource Planning Manager to work for an international consultancy client on a permanent basis in Solihull. Working as part of the PMO function you’ll play a crucial role in powering the success of projects, bids, and strategic initiatives across the UK and Europe. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead the optimisation of resource capacity, ensuring people and infrastructure are aligned with the clients' goals.

You’ll combine strategic insight with data-driven decision-making to drive efficiency and enable effective delivery across the organisation. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure the right resources are in the right place at the right time. The role is also responsible for managing and developing the PMO team, therefore a strong background in PMO (ideally in a management role) is also required.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in resource and capacity planning within complex or matrixed organisations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools particularly Excel.
  • Experience supporting recruitment planning and collaborating with hiring managers or agencies (desirable).
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and technology resource planning (desirable).
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks (advantageous).
  • Experience in project controls, managing risks, governance frameworks etc.
