Project Engineer – Chemical – Process Engineering Greater Manchester based (hybrid working) £35,000 – £50,000 plus bonus and benefits Several Project Engineers are wanted on a permanent basis by a global Engineering client of ours who are at the forefront of their industry and going through a real period of growth. In this role, the successful candidate will take ownership and responsibility for various customer orders within the business. This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £35,000 – £50,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonuses and benefits. Overview of the Project Engineer role: Effectively handle all aspects of a contract from receipt of the order into the contracts department to commissioning, ensuring that the projects are delivered as sound engineering solutions produced on time, to specification, within budget and in accordance with the agreed delivery terms and conditions. Preparing and maintaining the Project Workbook cost spreadsheet for each project, monitoring costs to ensure overspends on contracts are minimised and that OPR is maximised. Estimating product lead times and preparing detailed production/resource plans and progress reports to follow the project to an on-time delivery. Key skills required for the Project Engineer role: Educated to degree level in an engineering or science discipline (Chemical/Process/Mechanical Engineering) or commensurate experience. Knowledge or previous experience of working with engineering contractors. Knowledge and working experience of international design standards and codes is preferred.
