Contract Procurement Professional

Location: Desford

Rate: £24.20 per hour Umbrella

Duration: 12 months (possible extension)

Working Arrangements: On-site in Desford (no remote/flexible working)

We are looking for a proactive Associate Procurement Professional to join our client’s team in Desford. This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same – one day you could be leading the renovation of a canteen, the next sourcing materials for a new project. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain broad exposure, work independently, and make a real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and co-leading procurement projects with full stakeholder engagement across all levels.
  • Negotiating contracts (not just pricing, but also IP, liability, warranties, and termination clauses).
  • Delivering tangible savings while ensuring best practice procurement processes.
  • Managing indirect purchasing requirements with variety and autonomy.
  • Using tools such as Excel and PowerBI (advantageous) to track, analyse, and report.

Qualifications

  • Recent (within last 5 years) contract negotiation experience across multiple areas.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in projects requiring strong stakeholder management.
  • A detail-oriented, proactive attitude and self-sufficient working style.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • PowerBI experience is highly desirable.
