About the Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Senior Project Controller to join BAE Systems at Warton, supporting the delivery of complex aerospace and defence programmes. This role is focused on providing effective project monitoring and control, ensuring project cost, schedule, risk, and performance information is accurately tracked, analysed, and communicated. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will play a key role in enabling informed decision-making and driving successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and manage project schedules.
- Monitor project performance against cost, schedule, and delivery objectives.
- Track project expenditure and support cost control activities.
- Apply and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, opportunities, and change requests.
- Analyse project data to identify emerging issues and implement mitigation actions.
- Produce project controls reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Support project governance activities and planning reviews.
- Drive ownership and accountability across project teams for schedule and cost performance.
- Build strong working relationships with project managers and key stakeholders.
About You
Essential Experience
- Experience operating within a project controls environment.
- Proven experience creating and maintaining project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project (MSP) or Open Plan.
- Strong understanding and practical application of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience managing project risks, opportunities, and change control processes.
- Ability to analyse complex project information and provide clear recommendations.
- Strong reporting and performance management experience.
