Working hours/pattern: FT onsite

Hourly Rate: £31.53 PAYE or £42.41 Umbrella Inside IR35

We’re looking for a Production Planner to join a busy manufacturing/operations environment, turning customer requirements into clear, deliverable production plans. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in ensuring work is properly scoped, scheduled, and ready for delivery.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Translating customer requirements into production-ready plans
  • Creating task breakdowns, identifying dependencies, and supporting scheduling
  • Estimating labour, materials, and subcontract requirements
  • Working closely with procurement, supply chain, and production teams
  • Carrying out pre-production checks to ensure work is ready to go
  • Resolving planning issues that could delay delivery
  • Supporting continuous improvement of planning processes and data

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in production planning, manufacturing, or shipyard environments
  • Ability to read technical drawings/specs and interpret requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using ERP systems and Excel
  • Able to manage workload and deliver to tight timescales
