About the client

The role

You’ll provide technical expertise in pipeline engineering and integrity, supporting high-pressure cross-country liquid and gas pipelines across North-West Europe. The role involves inspection planning, data analysis, fitness-for-service assessments, and developing remediation strategies to ensure regulatory and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Support pipeline inspection, integrity and repair programmes (ILI, defect assessment, remediation)
  • Analyse inspection data and report on pipeline fitness-for-service
  • Ensure compliance with UK and international pipeline safety standards
  • Develop integrity plans, procedures, KPIs and technical documentation
  • Support audits, incident investigations, emergency preparedness and CAPEX/OPEX planning
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, projects, HSE and legal teams

About you

  • Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in pipeline integrity within oil & gas or energy infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of PSR 1996, PSSR 2000, PD 8010, ASME/API fitness-for-service codes
  • Experience working on COMAH / Major Accident Hazard sites
  • Confident communicator with strong analytical skills
