Hours: 37 hours

Onsite: Monday – Thursday

Core hours: 07:15 – 17:00

Role may involve shift work, including:

  • Days: 07:15 – 17:00 (Mon–Thurs)
  • Nights: 16:00 – 02:00 (Mon–Thurs)

BAE Systems is seeking a Mechanical Mechanic to support F-35 aircraft maintenance activities. Reporting to the F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Manager, you will undertake a range of maintenance tasks on F-35 aircraft and/or aircraft components in line with approved technical information and organisational procedures.

Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within EASA/MRP Part 145.
  • Experience working on complex military aircraft programmes.
  • Minimum City Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance (or equivalent).

The Job:

  • Carry out aircraft and component maintenance in accordance with Approved Technical Information, risk assessments and the organisation’s MOE.
  • Complete maintenance instructions and schedules for planned and unplanned tasks.
  • Perform tasks including inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectification, component removal/replacement and functional/system testing.
  • Ensure all work is correctly documented and that airworthiness records are maintained.
  • Compile reports, identify issues.
