Employee Relations Adviser

Location: BAE Systems Scotstoun

Contract: 12 months

Working Pattern: 2–3 days per week

Rate: £21.03 p/h PAYE / £28.15 p/h Umbrella (Inside IR35)

Security: BPSS only

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Adviser to join the ER Centre of Excellence, supporting managers and business stakeholders across a range of employee relations matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of ER cases, including disciplinaries, grievances and investigations .
• Provide expert, legally sound advice and guidance to managers and HR stakeholders.
• Ensure cases are managed in line with company policies, employment legislation and the ACAS Code of Practice .
• Assess and mitigate employee relations, legal and reputational risks.
• Coach and support managers in handling ER matters effectively and consistently.
• Work collaboratively with HR, Labour Law, Trade Unions, Ethics and other key stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate case records and proactively escalate risks where required.
• Keep up to date with employment law, case law and industry best practice.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across ER policies, processes and technology.

About You

• Proven Employee Relations and Case Management experience – essential .
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS guidance and current case law .
• Experience working with Trade Unions and employee representatives .
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work autonomously, manage a busy caseload and escalate risks appropriately.
• A pragmatic and commercially aware approach to resolving complex ER issues.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading organisation on a 12-month contract, working 2–3 days per week from the Scotstoun site.

BPSS security clearance is required.
