Outsource UK is recruiting an experienced Merchandiser to join a dynamic retail business in Gloucester. You’ll play a key role in planning and trading the product range, working closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations and business financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage assortment and category plans, analysing past, present, and market performance.
- Plan sales, stock, and open-to-buy budgets, and re-forecast as required.
- Monitor in-season performance and adjust plans to optimise results.
- Manage markdowns, promotions, and best-selling product levels.
- Oversee purchase orders, deliveries, and stock management.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, freight partners, and warehouse teams.
- Support and develop a Merchandise Assistant and deputise for the Merchandising Lead.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience managing a Merchandise Assistant or allocator.
- Strong numerical, organisational, and Excel skills.
- Knowledge of purchase order and forecasting systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commercial experience, ideally in premium or luxury retail.
- Interest in online retail and ability to contribute innovative ideas.
