Client: BAE Systems
Location: Portsmouth, UK (Onsite, Full Time)
Contract: 6 Months (initial)
Rate: £16.68 PAYE
Overview
BAE Systems Maritime Services seeks a Material Coordinator to manage and prepare materials and tooling for production, ensuring timely availability to meet production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate and kit materials/tooling for work orders.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply teams to meet schedules.
- Deliver kitted materials to laydown/dispatch areas.
- Resolve material/tooling issues via the Work Management Tool.
- Monitor consumables and support accurate ERP data.
- Review material usage with planners to improve future planning.
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of ship repair production and safety practices.
- Experience in logistics, material coordination, or production planning.
- Familiarity with ERP/task planning tools.
- SAP / material movements in a big organisation.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
