Based: Warton and Samlesbury

Working arrangements: 3 days on site per week

Hourly rate: £75.00 PAYE or £98.91 Umbrella inside IR35

Overview

BAE Systems is looking for a Legal Counsel to join the Air Operations team. You will act as a trusted legal partner to the business, providing clear and practical advice across complex defence programmes. You will support high profile work across platforms such as fast jet and future air programmes. You will be part of a global legal function and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with customers and partners
  • Providing clear legal advice that supports delivery and manages risk
  • Supporting compliance across areas such as export control, procurement and product safety
  • Identifying and managing legal risks early
  • Supporting dispute resolution and helping drive practical outcomes
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and the wider legal team
