We’re looking for a Design Engineer to join a growing Mechanical Engineering team supporting a variety of projects across multiple naval vessel platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to work on ship system design modifications, installation solutions, ship surveys and engineering investigations within a highly collaborative maritime environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce 2D and 3D design solutions using AutoCAD and Inventor
- Support ship system design modifications and installation drawing packages
- Conduct ship surveys across UK and overseas sites
- Support engineering investigations and develop technical solutions
- Carry out material and equipment analysis
- Work closely with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary Engineering teams
What We’re Looking For
- Experience using AutoCAD 2D/3D and Inventor
- Understanding of engineering and manufacturing drawings
- Knowledge of ship mechanical or fluid systems
- Ability to perform basic flow and pressure loss calculations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ship build or in-service experience desirable
Qualifications
BTEC / ONC qualified or equivalent experience
