Experience/Skills

  • Experience working across the business with senior stakeholders to build category plans, establishing credibility and driving cost savings, supplier resilience, and delivering supplier governance to mitigate risk and deliver performance.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with experience in leading high value, complex negotiations.
  • Confident in challenging constructively the business areas with new ways of working, technology, and processes to secure sustainable savings and value.
  • Comfortable in coaching and mentoring Contract Managers to enhance the level of commercial value across the complete supplier lifecycle.
  • Experience working in a technology business, knowledgeable of cloud, AI, and automation technology, including benefits, constraints, risks, and issues, able to identify and mitigate through strategy and commercial negotiation.
  • Knowledge and credibility across various technologies, innovative by nature, inquisitive with the ability to confidently challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory landscape in a Financial Services environment.
  • Understanding of EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing.
  • Good data analytics skills with the ability to understand financial, economic, risk, and contractual data and consolidate it into easy-to-read documents and presentations.
  • Strong experience in technology procurement, predominantly software and services, with evidence of working with large software platforms such as Workday, Microsoft, etc.
  • Experience in general outsourcing arrangements would be of benefit.
