EHS Projects Support

Location: Desford

Contract Duration: 12 months (possible extension)

Estimated Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: up to £35.61 Umbrella per hour

Work Arrangement: Full-time, on-site

Working Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–12:30 (flexibility available for school runs, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of EHS projects across the facility.
  • Assist in determining the strategic portfolio of EHS initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to drive project execution and compliance.
  • Collect, analyse, and report on EHS data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to maintaining and enhancing a strong EHS culture across all departments.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to UK EHS regulations and internal safety standards.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of UK EHS regulations and relevant UK-based qualifications.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar EHS project or support role.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI is highly advantageous.
  • Background in manufacturing or industrial environments (non-food) is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic, evolving team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must hold UK-recognised EHS qualifications.
