Several Senior Mechanical Design Engineers are wanted on a permanent basis by a global Engineering client who is at the forefront of their industry. In this role, the successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for Mechanical Engineering ‘best practice’ and driving through the project team that they lead.
This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £45,000 - £52,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonuses and benefits.
Overview of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role:- Be responsible for the technical delivery of mechanical engineering expertise to a project, including subsystems and/or technology developments.
- Lead and guide Mechanical Engineering activities across applicable projects.
- Advocate and support the adoption of best practice mechanical engineering to improve the delivery of the engineering function to time, cost, quality and specification, whilst ensuring the appropriate level of effective technical governance is in place for safety, compliance, quality and reliability.
- Previous experience of design for manufacture principles with focus on assembly and associated costings.
- Possess an associated Mechanical/Engineering biased degree qualification.
