Project Control Engineer (Defence) Join a leading global professional services organisation delivering complex, high profile programmes across the UK Defence sector. This is an opportunity to contribute to projects of national importance, supporting major defence and security programmes that enhance UK capability across land, sea, air, cyber and space domains. Working on a hybrid model, you will be either on site or in your local office 3 days per week. The Role As a Project Controls Risk Consultant, you will support the successful delivery of major projects and programmes through the implementation and management of robust risk management processes. Key responsibilities include: Leading risk identification, assessment and prioritisation workshops with project teams and stakeholders Managing project risk registers and ensuring effective governance of threats and opportunities Monitoring overall risk exposure and contingency requirements Producing risk reports, analysis and management information for senior stakeholders Supporting quantitative risk assessments for cost and schedule risk analysis Embedding risk management into project planning and decision making processes Using industry standard risk management tools and reporting platforms Essential Skills & Experience Experience delivering risk management within complex projects or programmes Strong understanding of integrated project controls and risk management principles Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders Knowledge of quantitative risk analysis methodologies for cost and schedule risk Experience working within Defence, Central Government, Infrastructure or Capital Projects environments Proficiency with tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran Risk, Active Risk Manager (ARM), Predict! or similar platforms Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills Qualifications Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience Professional membership or working towards membership with APM, IRM, PMI or a similar body is desirable Ability to travel to client sites as required Security Requirements Due to the nature of the work, applicants must: Be a sole British national Hold a valid UK passport Be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) or higher If you are looking to develop your career within Defence project controls and work on some of the UK's most significant programmes, we'd love to hear from you.
