Outsource UK are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and defence technology organisation for an experienced ILS Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and delivering Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) solutions across the full project lifecycle, supporting complex equipment programmes within the defence, surveillance and government sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering ILS activities throughout project development, in-service support and bid phases, helping to maximise equipment availability, supportability and through-life value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance the organisation's ILS capability, enabling a full range of support engineering services to be delivered to customers.
  • Support business growth through the provision of high-quality ILS services.
  • Assist Bid Management teams with the development of pricing, estimates and supporting material for bids and proposals.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, methodologies and best practices within ILS and support engineering.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, project and commercial teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
  • Undertake occasional travel within the UK and overseas when required.
Skills Required:
  • Strong understanding of Support Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) principles.
  • Experience applying Def Stan 00-60 / 00-600 and the Defence Logistics Framework (formerly JSP 886) within defence programmes.
  • Ability to produce accurate, detailed and professional technical documentation, proposals and specifications.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
