We are seeking an Assembly Technician I to join a leading defence manufacturing team in Hillend. This role involves the manufacture, repair, and modification of complex Radar, Avionics, and Underwater systems within a highly regulated production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble products in line with technical drawings and work instructions.
- Repair, modify, and rework electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Maintain accurate production and compliance records using business systems.
- Work to recognised quality standards including IPC, ANSI-J, AS9100, and ISO9001.
- Support continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing principles.
- Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
- Experience in an assembly discipline such as wiring, fitting, PCB assembly, microelectronics, or similar.
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, repair, and modify electronic or mechanical products.
- Comfortable interpreting technical documentation and working to quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a team.
- IPC, ANSI-J, or similar workmanship certification is desirable.
Successful applicants must be eligible to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance. Additional security clearance may be required.
