BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Digital Intelligence team, working at the forefront of communications and networking within one of the world's largest engineering organisations.
Skills:
- Routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP and RIP
- Network design experience aligned to customer requirement
- Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualisation (NFV)
- Virtual Private Networking (VPN), IPSec and PKI/Certificate Authorities
- Network management protocols (SNMP, SSH, Syslog, ICMP)
- Virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Linux KVM)
- Deployed communication systems in constrained environments
The Job:
- Supporting the development and delivery of ECRS Mk2 Radome and Radar equipment into aircraft
- Producing high- and low-level network designs to meet challenging requirements
- Building and configuring networked hardware and software solutions
- Integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware and software
- Adhering to systems engineering best practice
- Fault finding and resolving issues in production environments
- Producing clear, concise technical documentation
- Collaborating within an agile team, including knowledge sharing and peer reviews
- Reporting progress and providing feedback to leadership
- Supporting deployments through occasional customer site visits
Clearance Eligibility: BPSS + SC required to start – subject to ITAR
