Hourly Rate: £53.73 PAYE or £72.54 Umbrella

Working Arrangements: 3 days on site

Clearance: Due to the security requirements of this role, it requires full SC Clearance and UK Eyes only.

The Role: BAE are looking for a Systems Engineer to join their Digital Intelligence team within Communications and Networks. You will support the development of innovative technology solutions, working across the full systems engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support systems engineering activities across design, development, and integration
  • Contribute to business development studies and technical solutions
  • Deliver work to agreed scope, quality, and timelines
  • Accurately report progress and provide technical input
  • Maintain high standards of safety and compliance

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in Systems Engineering
  • Good understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, and acceptance
  • Experience with development tools such as requirements management, modelling, and defect tracking systems
  • Experience supporting business development activities is advantageous
  • Background in communications technologies (voice, data, and radio systems) is highly desirable
  • Desirable technical knowledge includes:
  • IP networking and network design
  • VOIP
  • Network security and management
  • Linux and virtual machine environments
  • Designing equipment to meet strict environmental and EMC requirements
  • Understanding of design certification and product safety processes
