Hourly Rate: £57 PAYE or £76.98 Umbrella

Working Arrangement: 3 days on site – flexibility required

Role Overview

You will support the Lead Human Factors Specialist in delivering Human Factors Integration and User-Centred Design activities across complex, safety-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Human Factors Integration across system design and development
  • Engage with users and stakeholders through workshops and trials
  • Assess equipment, prototypes, and mock-ups against user needs
  • Conduct Human Factors analyses (e.g. task analysis, usability, workload, human error)
  • Support integration testing and verification activities
  • Contribute to reports and programme deliverables
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ Human Factors experience in defence or safety-critical industries
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Knowledge of Human Factors Integration principles and Def Stan 00-251

Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or Engineering
  • Professional membership of CIEHF or working towards chartership
