Location: Glascoed

Duration: 6-12 months contract initially

Hourly Rate: £22.69 PAYE or £30.41 Umbrella

Working pattern: 37 hours, 4 day shift pattern, Mon-Thurs 7:15am - 5pm with Friday off

BAE Systems is looking for a Contracts Engineer (Buildings Surveyor) to join our Estates & Facilities team in Glascoed. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the maintenance, improvement, and compliance of critical site infrastructure in a highly regulated environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Conducting detailed building condition surveys and creating maintenance plans
  • Producing technical reports, specifications, and feasibility studies
  • Supporting repairs, maintenance, and new works across site infrastructure
  • Managing contractors and contributing to project delivery and contract administration
  • Ensuring compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental standards
  • Supporting asset management and planned preventative maintenance activities

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience within industrial or commercial environments
  • HNC/HND (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of building regulations and CDM
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Security: BPSS required, SC in progress

Interviews: Face-to-face at Glascoed (early June)
