Outsource UK are recruiting a Lead Controls Engineer on behalf of a leading manufacturing business for an experienced professional to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a controls engineering professional to take on a leadership role, guiding a team of engineers while driving the design, development, implementation, and support of advanced control systems.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Controls Engineers, setting clear objectives and priorities.
- Drive the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of control systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems within wider projects.
- Ensure all control systems meet required performance standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements through robust testing and validation.
- Support and develop junior engineers through coaching and mentoring.
Requirements:
- Strong PLC programming experience
- HMI programming experience using VB.NET or other high-level programming languages.
- Strong communication skills with a good level of spoken and written English.
- Previous experience within controls and software engineering in a relevant industrial environment.
- Experience working within complex engineering or manufacturing environments.
