We’re supporting a leading engineering and technology manufacturer in the search for a Controls Engineer to join their growing team in Bristol. This role will focus on developing control and visualisation software for advanced industrial products, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across the full software development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- PLC and HMI software development
- Producing and reviewing technical documentation
- Supporting software testing and release processes
- Working from software specifications and electrical schematics
- Contributing to project planning and delivery
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Experience with PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Blocks)
- HMI programming experience using VB.net or similar
- Understanding of electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
- Experience working within controls/software engineering environments
- HND or Degree in a relevant engineering or software discipline
