Outsource UK are recruiting for a Paraplanner. We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Paraplanner to join a highly respected financial services organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong paraplanning experience or a background as an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) looking to work in a collaborative, professional environment supporting the delivery of holistic financial advice. This role focuses on complex areas of financial planning including estate planning, retirement planning, investment replacement and pension switching. You will play a key role in providing robust technical support and ensuring advice is fully evidenced, compliant and aligned to regulatory standards.
The Role
Working closely with Financial Advisers, you will be responsible for preparing case documentation, conducting technical research and analysis, completing calculations and producing high-quality suitability reports. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing suitability reports and client case files in line with internal and external compliance standards
- Conducting research and analysis across estate planning, pension benefits, pension switching and investment replacement
- Preparing application forms and product information packs for client meetings
- Updating internal systems with accurate client data and case notes
- Providing technical support via telephone, email and web-based channels for complex cases
- Supporting field‑based advisers with technical guidance relating to investment replacement and pension switching, pension and retirement advice
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- L4 Diploma in Financial Advice or equivalent (part qualified candidates will also be considered)
- Proven experience within paraplanning or financial advice
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Experience in complex advice areas including estate planning, retirement advice and replacement analysis
- Knowledge of pension products, annual allowance and lifetime allowance
- Experience writing suitability reports and compiling client files
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
- A proactive, organised and detail-focused approach
- The ability to manage workloads independently while contributing positively within a team environment
