An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Accountant to join BAE Systems at Warton. Working within the Project Finance Delivery Team, you will support the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, trading and analysis across major customer projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with finance, reporting, or accounting experience looking to develop their career within a large and highly respected organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly sales and margin trading activities in line with IFRS 15 principles
- Assist with month-end reporting, financial updates, and balance sheet reviews
- Prepare journals, reporting packs, and supporting financial documentation
- Support half-year and full-year statutory reporting and external audits
- Analyse financial data, investigate discrepancies, and identify corrective actions
- Work closely with finance teams, project stakeholders, and wider business functions
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement workshops
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with financial controls and procedures
