NC and CMM Programmer
6 months – Hybrid
Based: Samlesbury
Hourly Rate: £24.78 PAYE or £ 33.24 Umbrella inside IR35
37 Hours per week
BAE Systems is seeking experienced NC & CMM Programmers to support multiple platforms across the business. If you\’re skilled in modern machining principles and CAD/CAM programming, this is your chance to join a world-class engineering team working on cutting-edge defence projects
The Job
- Creating and modifying NC and CMM programs for hard and soft metal components
- Ensuring all programming meets project and business standards for quality and timelines
- Supporting tape prove activities and providing build line support for new or modified programs
- Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and dimensional accuracy
The Skills
- Strong understanding of machining principles and modern CAD/CAM system
- Experience in CATIA V5 for NC programming and/or Camio for CMM programming
- Knowledge of design for manufacture, dimensional management, and process planning
- Additional experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Siemens NX, CATIA V4, Valisys
- Autodesk Powermill / Powershape
- Simulation tools like CGTECH Vericut (V8)
