Business Development Manager – Ocean Freight Competitive salary + bonus Birmingham, Manchester, London Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm Excellent company benefits Outsource UK is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager with a background in Ocean Freight for our client. You will be responsible for driving the strategic and profitable growth of the trade through ownership of overall trade lane development plan. Overview of the role: Accountable for the profitable growth of the trade. Develop and implement strategies to grow volumes on assigned trade lane in Ocean (FCL & LCL) and Air. Drive volume growth and new business opportunities through a combination of direct sales activity from own customer portfolio (qualification to closure) and support to Business Development and Key Account teams as subject matter expert for your trades. Develop and maintain joint pipeline with key partners working in a collaborative way to mutually develop new business opportunities. Collaborate and work closely with Trade and Pricing teams, exchanging market intelligence and ensuring rate competitiveness. Build and maintain strong relationships with key overseas partners in selected markets. Act as the main point of contact for partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
