- Must hold a valid UK passport and be a British Citizen (without dual nationality).
Role Overview:
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Migration Support Technicians to assist with a large-scale device refresh project. The role involves setting up refresh clinics, handling device handovers, updating systems, and supporting end users during device migration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and maintaining the Refresh Clinic at designated sites.
- Move devices as instructed by the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager from onsite storage to the Refresh Clinic.
- Login to systems as directed, using devices provided.
- Refresh laptops by collecting existing devices from users and handing over new devices, strictly following the migration schedule and project processes.
- Ensure accurate handover and collection of devices per the migration schedule.
- Update workflow management systems correctly at all relevant steps.
- Promptly report any issues during the migration process to the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
- Escalate unresolved issues to onsite Post Migration Support Engineers.
- Conduct manual daily stock checks and report findings.
- Package collected devices according to the device Designation Rules, clearly marking items for disposal or refurbishment.
- Securely move all devices and equipment back into onsite storage at the end of each day.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience supporting device refresh/migration projects (desirable but not essential).
- Comfortable handling hardware and working within structured processes.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Good communication skills to liaise with engineers, managers, and end-users.
- Ability to work independently under instruction and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of moving and handling IT equipment.
Other Requirements:
- Must adhere strictly to security and confidentiality requirements on all sites.
- Willingness to work occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
