Are you an experienced Support Engineering professional with a strong background in maintenance design? BAE Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer to join our Support Engineering team, specialising in Maintenance Derivation and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for maintenance design and related ILS activities
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support across the engineering team
- Assure quality and delivery of maintenance outputs, including RCM and MTI documentation
- Support stakeholder engagement and represent BAE Systems in collaborative forums
- Contribute to reviews, audits, and assurance activities across support deliverables
- Provide operator insight and apply domain knowledge to influence support solutions
- Engage in technical planning, estimating and bid support for maintenance activities
About You:
- Substantial experience in RCM, LSA, and ILS within a defence or maritime environment
- Ex-RN (Royal Navy) nuclear operator/maintainer background strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of MOD tools such as UMMS and Trilogy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership
