A leading player in the fuel storage and energy infrastructure sector is looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to join their regional maintenance team.
The Role
Working primarily in Saffron Walden, you\’ll carry out day-to-day electrical maintenance and inspection across a pipeline network and associated facilities.
Monday – Friday 8-4 + on call 1 in 7 weeks
The role includes:
- Electrical testing, fault finding and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
- Working on LV systems, emergency lighting, small power and fire alarms
- Performing inspections and testing in line with BS 7671 and BS 60079 (including hazardous areas)
- Collaborating with engineering teams to resolve defects and implement plant changes
The role requires some travel within the region and flexibility for overtime and occasional out-of-hours callouts.
What You\’ll Need
- Recognised electrical qualifications: 17th Edition, BS7671, 2394/2395, and CompEx
- Understanding of safety systems including Permit to Work, Risk Assessments, and Safety Critical Tasks
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a proactive mindset
- Clean UK driving licence (essential)
