Cloud Engineer (Azure) - 6 Month Contract - Leeds Inside IR35 - Hybrid (2- 3 days per week onsite)

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a critical enterprise Cloud Platform team supporting a large-scale Azure environment. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on platform support, cloud operations, infrastructure reliability, and ongoing Azure platform improvements. You'll be joining a team responsible for core cloud services, so we're looking for someone who is technically strong, security-focused, and comfortable operating in a highly available enterprise environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Azure platform engineering and operational support
  • Solution design and cloud infrastructure support
  • Monitoring cloud services and resolving incidents
  • Managing Azure landing zones and platform governance
  • Supporting networking, security, and major platform upgrades
  • Participating in an on-call support rota (less than 1 in 4)

What we're looking for

  • Strong Microsoft Azure experience
  • Excellent Terraform skills
  • Experienced coder(Cloud)
  • Experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps
  • Azure Policy expertise
  • Solid understanding of cloud security
  • Networking and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira

Nice to have

  • Azure Firewall
  • New Relic or other observability tools
  • FinOps exposure
  • Containerisation experience
  • Azure AI Foundry or AI-related cloud services
