- Procurement Engineer to join the Supply Chain Operations team at
BAE Systems, Samlesbury on an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to play a key role in managing suppliers, supporting production and ensuring the timely delivery of parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and manage purchase orders.
- Manage the supplier order book from placement through to delivery.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance and support improvement activities.
- Identify and resolve issues that could impact part availability or production.
- Review stock levels against consumption and current requirements.
- Maintain accurate order book information.
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with teams across the business to support the production order book.
- Ensure invoices are processed and paid promptly.
- Occasional travel to other UK sites may be required.
About You
- Previous procurement experience .
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage suppliers and resolve issues effectively.
- Experience with
ERP/MRP systems would be advantageous.
