Our Client is a leading London-centric, Specialist Engineering contractor with an enviable reputation for safety, quality and delivery. Due to continued work winning success they are keen to identify a Document Controller who is interested in getting involved with varied tasks and making the role their own.

Pre-construction:

  • Review tender documentation, download, sort, create binders, identify key missing info, distribute access links
  • Manage addendum information and ensure issue to internal personnel and external supply chain
  • Upload tender submissions onto client portal
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of bid library (e.g. tender CVs; case studies etc)
  • Assist with updating tender pipeline tracker

Construction:

  • Manage, control and distribute all project documentation in line with Getjar procedures, ensuring accurate, timely issue to site and preconstruction teams
  • Set up, maintain and administer document control systems (including CDE platforms) for live projects from preconstruction through to site delivery
  • Assist site teams with control drawings, specifications, schedules, RFIs, technical submissions, permits and correspondence, always ensuring correct revision status
  • Receive, check and upload contractor, consultant and supplier documents, ensuring compliance with project requirements and file naming conventions
  • Maintain up-to-date document registers, trackers and transmittals, providing clear audit trails and reporting to project teams
  • Liaise closely with site teams, project managers, designers and external stakeholders to ensure information is available when required
  • Assist with site startup documentation, including O&M manuals, quality records, health & safety documentation and handover packs
  • Monitor and chase outstanding information to support programme milestones and avoid delays to site activities
  • Ensure document control processes comply with ISO standards, company policies and project-specific requirements
  • Assist site teams with quality management on live projects
  • Ensure consistent and standardized quality procedure between live projects
  • Oversee handover documents i.e. O&Ms, as-builts etc.

Strategic (desirable but not essential):

  • Assist with development and implementation of marketing strategy
  • Assist with marketing

Desirable attributes:

  • Experience with various platforms (e.g. Aconex, Conject, ACC, Dalux, A-site etc)
  • Preconstruction experience
  • Understanding and/or experience of construction methodology
