The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing and successful Drywall & Interior Fit-Out contractor delivering high-quality projects across London and the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to play a key role in managing project finances, maximising profitability, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial aspects of multiple drywall and interior fit-out projects.
  • Prepare and submit accurate valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Procure subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiation of terms and pricing.
  • Assess and manage variations, change orders, and contractual claims.
  • Produce monthly cost reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Support project delivery teams with commercial and contractual advice.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the drywall, partitioning, ceilings, interiors, or fit-out sector.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.
  • Experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant construction qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence desirable.
