This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor looking to work on varied projects, take ownership of schemes from pre-construction through to final account, and contribute to the continued growth of a successful regional contractor.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the commercial aspects of multiple construction projects.
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation.
- Procuring subcontractors and negotiating contract terms.
- Valuing and processing subcontractor applications and payments.
- Managing variations, change control, and contractual correspondence.
- Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts.
- Monitoring project expenditure and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Supporting project teams to ensure successful commercial outcomes.
- Negotiating and agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Experience delivering residential, education, commercial, or mixed-sector projects.
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement processes.
- Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills.
- Ability to manage projects independently from inception through to completion.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Relevant construction-related qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent).
