We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in external facades, masonry, brickwork, cladding, and envelope packages to join our clients growing commercial team. The successful candidate will take commercial responsibility for multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring financial performance, contractual compliance, and effective risk management. This role is ideally suited to a commercially astute professional with experience working for specialist subcontractors or main contractors delivering façade and masonry packages across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of façade, masonry, brickwork, and external envelope packages.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, valuations, and forecasts.
  • Oversee procurement of subcontractors, materials, and suppliers.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, variations, interim applications, and final accounts.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, including JCT and NEC forms.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project lifecycle.
  • Produce accurate cost reporting and margin analysis for senior management.
  • Liaise closely with project managers, site teams, clients, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Evaluate and agree variations, change orders, and compensation events.
  • Ensure timely payment applications and debt recovery.
  • Support tender submissions, pricing exercises, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Mentor junior surveyors and assist in developing the commercial team.
