Our client is an established and growing internal finishes subcontractor delivering high-quality solutions across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments throughout London. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator/Estimating Manager to join their Central London team.
The Role
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for internal finishes packages for projects across the commercial fit out / major projects sectors. You will work closely with commercial and operational teams to ensure successful project acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for internal finishes packages
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Manage the full tender process from enquiry through to submission
- Liaise with clients, main contractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Identify value engineering opportunities and risk factors
- Support bid strategy and contribute to winning new business
- Mentor junior estimators where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within the internal finishes sector
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing
- Previous experience overseeing other members of the Estimating team
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in estimating software and Excel
