The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of high-end residential refurbishment projects ranging from £500k to £10m. Working closely with the Commercial Director, Project Managers, and site teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute professional looking to progress within a supportive and high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Preparing and reviewing cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation
- Procurement and management of subcontract packages
- Valuations, variations, and change control management
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Negotiation and agreement of final accounts
- Managing client and subcontractor relationships
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and commercial targets
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in high-end refurbishment / prime residential contracting / or specialist subcontractor.
- Experience managing projects in the £500k – £10m range
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred)
- Ambitious, commercially driven, and detail-oriented
