We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team delivering projects across the minor civils / landscaping projects. This role will be based between Bedfordshire and London. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects, ensuring costs are effectively controlled while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial aspects of multiple civils, earthworks, and remediation projects
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports
- Administer and manage contracts, with a strong focus on NEC forms of contract
- Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and payments
- Identify, value, and manage variations and change events
- Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial performance
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and commercial targets
Requirements
- Minimum 3–4 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civils, landscaping, minor civils
- Strong working knowledge and practical experience with NEC forms of contract
- Proven experience managing the commercial aspects of site-based projects
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting project teams on-site
